According to his grandson, Charles Haulbrook, the house at 12 Comer Street in Maysville was built by hand by Robert Woodward Haulbrook (1859-1943).  The house originally had a shingled roof and a front porch with banisters.

R.W. Haulbrook later sold it to Robert Garr "Bob" Crisler (1889-1954) for $750.  After Bob's death, Thara Richey Crisler (1896-1976), his wife, continued to live in the house for many years, keeping it immaculate, and growing beautiful, red roses along the front porch.

The family of Ronald "Ronnie" Cecil Cochran, Sr., lived in the house for a number of years.

In 2000, Trent Strickland remodeled the house, adding vinyl siding and a green, tin roof.  A room and porch were added on the right side of the house.

In Nov. 2006, Northeast Georgia Homes, LLC (Bobby Jones) purchased the house.  According to Mr. Jones, tax records show the house was built in 1873, which may be an error since R. W. Haulbrook would have only been 14 years old at the time.
