M. Edwards, said lot fronting 25' on North Broad Street, running back a uniform width 100' to an alley and adjoining lots formerly owned by Brantley Prickett and E. C. Garrison and being lot of land conveyed to T. E. Atkins on 30 Mar 1906 to Atkins National Bank, and at present used as post office for the Town of Maysville; said property being known as No. 54 on the east side of East Main Street in Town of Maysville according to rate book issued by the Georgia Inspection and Rating Bureau; also conveyed is all of the fixtures in said building owned by this grantor and used in connection with the post office.  This deed is made expressly subject to a lease dated 24 Jan 1940 between Huram R. Hancock and Boyce P. Hancock, his wife, and the United States of America, said lease being for a period of ten years subject to being terminated on certain conditions.  However the above considerations conveys to parties of the second part all interest they have in said lease, and rentals under said lease are to be paid to W. P. Cooley and John T. Miller beginning as of 1 Apr 1940.

Edwards, said lot fronting 25' on North Broad Street, running back a uniform width 100' to an alley and adjoining lots formerly owned by Brantley Prickett and E. C. Garrison and being lot of land conveyed by T. E. Atkins on 30 Mar 1906 to Atkins National Bank and at the present used as Post Office for the Town of Maysville; said property known as No. 54 on the east side of East Main Street in Town of Maysville according to the rate book issued by the Georgia Inspection and Rating Bureau.  Also conveyed is all of the fixtures in said building owned by this grantor and used in connection with the post office.  This instrument only conveys the grantor's half interest in the above property and is to secure a debt for the purchase money of said half interest of said property.  The present obligations between the parties hereto is evidenced by a promissory notes from the grantor here in to the grantee herein dated 1 Apr 1940 and due January 1st each year for four years from date.
