Very little research has been done on the house located at 24 North Main Street in Maysville.  It was once owned by Clinton Thomas Boswell (1910-1991).  "Clint" Boswell married Lorenia Jordan (1908-unknown).  Their daughter, Jenell Boswell Hooper, lives further down North Main Street.  The house was built in 1908.

According to Betty Short Brooks, this house sat empty for a number of years when she was a little girl.  The school children would walk past the vacant house and refer to it as the "ghost house" since it was unoccupied.

Angela Hemphill bought the house in 2007 and completely renovated it in Victorian cottage charm.  Ms. Hemphill graciously opened her home on the 2008 Victorian Maysville Christmas Tour of Homes.
