Receiver’s Sale of Property, Near Maysville Will be sold, at public outcry, Tuesday, Dec. 10, at the home of A. B. Smith, near Maysville, beginning at 10 o’clock, the following property: 15 head of horses and mules, buggies, wagons, farming implements, 100 bushels corn, fodder, hay, etc. Also, on Thursday, Dec. 12, at the home of D. R. Marlow, near Holly Springs, beginning at 10 o’clock, will be sold the following: 5 mules, 2 horses, buggies, wagons, farm implements, 200 bushels of corn, fodder, hay, etc. Also on Friday, Dec. 13, beginning at 10 o’clock, at the home of Tom Garrison, known as the Pettyjohn place, 3 miles west of Maysville, will be sold the following property, belonging to H. D. Watkins: 8 or 10 mules, wagons, farm implements, 200 bushels of corn, fodder, hay, etc. Terms cash. Ferris & Morris, Receivers. (Ref: The Jackson Herald, Dec. 5, 1912) BANKRUPT SALE In Re: Carr, Boyd & Co; Alonzo B. Smith, Individually, Bankrupt Pursuant to an order passed by the Honorable W. B. Sloan, a referee in bankruptcy for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the undersigned, as trustee, will sell at public outcry, upon the premises, near the town of Maysville, Ga., on May 6th, 1913, between 11 o’clock a.m. and 4 o’clock p.m., assets of Alonzo B. Smith, consisting of six hundred and seventy one and four-tenths (671.4) acres of land, more or less, lying in and near the town of Maysville, in Jackson County, Georgia. Said tract of land has been subdivided into various parcels, and a plat of the same can be seen by an application to the undersigned, or to W. F. Morris at Maysville, Ga. A plat of the same will also be exhibited to prospective purchasers on the day of sale. Said land will be sold subject to a rent contract, dated September 17th, 1912, for the year 1913, covering all of said land. The terms of the sale will be one-third cash, payable on confirmation, the balance in two equal installments on or before six (6) and twelve (12) months from sale. All bids to be subject to acceptance or rejection by the court. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check for 10 percent of bid.
