Located on GA Hwy 98 on right side of road going from Maysville to
Homer. Located in a stand of trees down a lane near a barn before Grove
River Bridge between Cofield and Thurmond property. The nearest street

Chandler Family Cemetery
This is the burying ground of the Allen Moses Chandler (1839-1915)
family. From GA 98 (aka Maysville-Commerce Road) turn onto Chandler
Cemetery Road (aka Smith Street) near Short Stop Convenience Store.
Travel about two miles out of town going from Maysville to Dry Pond. The
cemetery is located in a stand of trees in a pasture on the left side of

Daly Family Cemetery
Located at 110 Jade Way in Oakridge Subdivision off of W. Ridgeway
Road in Maysville.
Eberhart (a.k.a. Browning) Family Cemetery
Located near 2132 Unity Church Road northwest of Maysville. From
downtown Maysville, take SR52 and turn left on Deadwyler Road. Travel 2.1
miles and turn right on Unity Church Road. Travel 2.1 miles. Cemetery is
on the left about 100 yards off the road and surrounded by a chain link
fence. The families of Martin Eberhart, Samuel S. Sims and John O.
Browning are buried here.
Ellison Family Cemetery
Located near 855 Carson Segars Road on the John Rylee farm is the
cemetery of Matthew Ellison's family and slaves. Contact the Rylees
first.
Hogan / Deal Family Cemetery
This family cemetery is located on the old Shadrach Hogan farm
adjacent to a new subdivision being built on Deadwyler Road. Travel SR52
out of Maysville and turn left on Deadwyler Road. Travel half a mile and
turn left into Eagle Heights subdivision. Travel thoroughfare until it
dead ends near the fork of two dirt roads. Walk around chained gate to
dirt road on the right. Cemetery is about 300 yards in the pines on the
right through a clearing.
Kent Family Cemetery
Located at 1033 Unity Church Road northwest of Maysville. Take SR52
out of Maysville and turn left on Deadwyler Road. Travel 2.1 miles and
turn right on Unity Church Road. Cemetery is one mile on the left at a
private drive. The family of Walton P. Kent is buried here.
Solid Rock Baptist Church Cemetery
Located at 52 Deadwyler Road near intersection of Georgia 52 (Gillsville
Hwy) and Deadwyler Road just west of city limits.
Sunrise Cemetery
Commonly referred to as Maysville Cemetery or the city cemetery,
Sunrise Cemetery is located on Cemetery Street off of Comer Street (aka
West Ridgeway Road) in the Maysville city limits. The first person buried
in Sunrise was Sherman Jackson Sims, a Confederate soldier who died of
typhoid fever and lung infection in 1863, and whose estate once
encompassed the land that the cemetery sits upon. There are over 800
graves here.
Saville (a.k.a. Veal) Family Cemetery
Located on Veal Cemetery Road off of GA Hwy 98 on the left from
Maysville to Homer.
