Hillard Sorrow
Ezekiel Hillard Sorrow, 84, of Maysville, died Sunday, March 4, 2007, at BJC Nursing Home.  Born on July 12, 1922, in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Lonnie Morgan and Rilla Ingram Sorrow. He was a retired cabinet maker and a member of Maysville Baptist Church. Mr. Sorrow was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Jurelle O’Kelley Sorrow.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Marie and Amory Hall, Maysville; a sister, Nomie Lee Carter, Commerce; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.  Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 7, at Maysville Baptist Church with the Revs. Brian Stowe and Grady Jordan officiating. Burial was in Sunrise Cemetery in Maysville.  Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.

Doris McClure
Doris Cochran McClure, 75, of Maysville, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007. Services will be 11am, Feb. 16, 2007 at Ridgeway Baptist Church.  Interment at Jackson Memorial Gardens. Survivors: sons Mike and Steve McClure; siblings O.R. Cochran; Faye Kennedy, Louise Davidson; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, has charge of arrangements.

Mitchell Crane
Mitchell Eugene Crane, 75, of Maysville, died Monday, February 12, 2007, at Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens, following a brief illness.
He was the son of the late Sam and Estelle Barber Crane. Mr. Crane was preceded in death by his wife, Betty H. Crane.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Kim Crane and Mark and Jean Crane, all of Maysville, Dean and Vickie Crane, Panama City, Fla.; daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Mickey Bryant, Hoschton; step-son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Jessica Peck, Nicholson; step-daughter, Diane Watson, Dry Pond; sisters, Edna McClure, Maysville, and Betty Jean Lewis, Commerce; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.  Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 14, in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with the Revs. Swayne Carlan and Kevin Page officiating. Burial was in Jackson Memorial Park.

James O'Kelley
James A. O’Kelley, 77, of Maysville, died Wednesday, February 7, 2007, at BJC Nursing Home.  He was born June 29, 1929, in Banks County, and was the son of the late Isiah and Ethel Boswell O’Kelley. He was retired from BJC Medical Center and was a member of the Maysville United Methodist Church. Mr. O’Kelley was preceded in death by his wife, Quinn McElroy O’Kelley.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 10, at the Maysville United Methodist Church with the Revs. Dugar Strickland and Grady Jordan officiating. Burial was in Sunrise Cemetery, Maysville.  Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.

Winfred Brock
Winfred Brock, 78, of Maysville, died Monday, February 5, 2007, at his residence. Born in Franklin County, he was the son of the late Edward and Maebelle Cotton Brock. Mr. Brock was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Parson Brock.
Survivors include sons, Joe Brock, Homer, Dennis Brock and Terry Parson, both of Maysville; daughters, Kathy Mealor, Maysville, Dianne Free and Debbie Hunter, both of Homer; brother, Calvin Brock, Homer; sisters, Dorothy Ballenger, Homer, Ruby Jean Roberts and Luttrelle Parr, both of Maysville; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 8, at 2 p.m. at the Unity Christian Church with Pastors Mike Thompson and Dennis Harris officiating. Burial will be in Grove Level Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday night, February 7, from 6 to 9 p.m. and at other times at the residence, 56 Homer St., Maysville.  Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.

Dorothy Strange
Dorothy Janelle Strange, 90, of Maysville, died Monday, January 22, 2007, at BJC Nursing Home. She was born April 24, 1916, in Banks County and was the daughter of the late John Wiley and Effie Sims Strange. She was a civil service clerk with the Federal Government and a member of Maysville Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Atlanta. Survivors include a sister, Wilda Wells, Tampa, Fla.; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 27, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Dr. Carlton Allen officiating. Burial will be in Sunrise Cemetery, Maysville. The family will receive friends Friday, January 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
