Jeff Lewis
Jeffrey Telvia Lewis, 46, of Maysville,
died Monday, April 21, 2008. He was the son of Betty Jean Crane and
the late Telvia Lewis. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 22, from 6
- 8 p.m. at Little & Ward Funeral Home, Commerce. Funeral services
will be held Wednesday, April 23, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Little & Ward
Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Jackson Memorial Park.
Ron Cochran
Ronald Cecil Cochran Jr., 29, of Maysville, died Friday,
March 28, 2008. Services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, March 29, 2008, at
First Baptist Church of Commerce. Interment at Sunrise Cemetery. Survivors
include mother, Debra Cochran; sisters, Christy Leftwich, Tammy Gallman;
grandmother, Juanita Payne. Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, has charge
of arrangements.

Andrew Strickland
Andrew Strickland, 81, of Maysville, died Saturday, January 5, 2008. He
was the son of the late O.G. “Bud” and Lula Mae Saxon Strickland. He owned
and operated Strickland's BBQ in Commerce for 34 years. He served as a
councilman for the City of Maysville for over 33 years and was a member of
the Banks County Board of Health for many years. He was a member of
Maysville Baptist Church, where he had served as a deacon. Survivors
include his wife, Hazel Gowder Strickland, Maysville; a son and
daughter-in-law, Trent and Jo Ann Thomas Strickland, Maysville; grandsons
and spouse, Field and Jade Klugh Strickland, and Drew Strickland; sister,
Mary Sears, Commerce. Funeral services were held Monday, January 7, at the
Maysville Baptist Church with Dr. Bryan Stowe officiating. Burial was in
Jackson Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Maysville
Baptist Church Building Fund. Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge
of arrangements.

Gilmer Glenn
Gilmer Franklin Glenn, 69, of Maysville, died Friday, January 4, 2008.
Born on November 5, 1938, in Jackson County, he was the son of the late
W.R. Glenn Jr. and Frances Wilkes Glenn. He was retired from the First
Commerce Bank and was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church. Mr.
Glenn was a veteran, having served in the United States Army. Survivors
include his wife, Barbara O’Kelley Glenn, Maysville; sons, Jeff Glenn,
Villa Rica, Darren Glenn, Jefferson, and Sid Glenn, Maysville; a sister,
Lori Ethridge, Jefferson; brothers, Danny R. Glenn, Jefferson, and R.
Garry Glenn, Oakwood; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Monday, January 7, at the Bethany United
Methodist Church with the Revs. Dean Bryant, Joe Hardy, and Truman
Humphries officiating. Pallbearers were Hunter Glenn, Taylor Glenn,
Brandon Glenn, Kason Glenn, Toby Glenn, and Morgan Glenn. A private family
burial will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to
the Amanda House, P.O. Box 447, Nicholson, Ga. 30565. Evans Funeral Home,
Jefferson, was in charge of arrangements.
