Garrison-Medlin
The Jackson Herald, Sept. 15, 1904--An event of much
interest was the marriage of Mrs. Fannie Medlin, of High Shoals, to Mr. D. W.
Garrison, of Maysville. The ceremony was very impressively performed by Dr. H.
R. Bernard, of Athens, only the immediate friends and relatives of the families
being present. After a course breakfast, Mr. and Mrs. Garrison left for
Maysville, and from there they will make a short tour to White Sulphur Springs.
The bride was dressed in gray crepe de chine, with hat to match, and carried a
shower bouquet of roses. She is well known, and Mr. Garrison is to be
congratulated upon his splendid choice.
The groom is well known in all the surrounding counties, and numbers his friends
by the score.

The above is taken from the Athens Banner.
We congratulate Mr. Garrison and extend a welcome to his bride, and assure her
that she has one of the best men in this county, and we are glad to know that he
won the hand and heart of such an excellent lady as his bride is reported to be.
Mr. Garrison is one of the foremost farmers in Jackson County. No man in the
county makes more stuff on an acre than Your Uncle Dave. No man makes more
money farming who operates no more plows than he, and no man makes as little
noise about what he is worth and what he is doing than our good friend of Dry
Pond. He is what is called in common vernacular one of the level-headed, and is
endowed with a copious quantity of judgment.
