Porter-David

A beautiful wedding was solemnized at the home of the bride’s parents, in Jackson County, near Dry Pond on Wednesday afternoon at 3:30, Dec. 30th when Miss Eva Porter and Mr. James S. David, of Maysville, were married.  W. B. McDonald, of Statham, brother-in-law of the groom, performed the ceremony.
The bride is a member of a well-known and excellent family of people, and the center of an admiring circle of friends, all of whom have a deep interest in her future welfare and join The News in extending hearty congratulations.
The groom is a promising young man, possessing a genial disposition and many excellent qualities.  He is a farmer by trade, and has good judgment and business ability.  We feel that he deserves an excellent woman, and we join his many friends in and around Maysville in extending congratulations to him and his lovely bride, and predict for them a bright future.
Quite a number of friends and relatives of both the contracting parties witnessed the marriage.
