 Horton J. Blackwell (1854-1924) married Margaret Adeline "Addie" McWhorter (1856-1924).  Addie was the daughter of William P. McWhorter and Ruth Elizabeth Cox.  W. P. McWhorter (1830-1862) died in C.S.A. service in the Civil War in Farmville, Virginia, from chronic diarrhea and was buried there.  H. J. and Addie Blackwell are both buried at Sunrise Cemetery in Maysville.
   Horton and Addie Blackwell had several children.  Their son, William Jesse (1877-1928) married Macie Bradley (1886-1977).  W. J. and Macie are both buried with in Sunrise Cemetery in Maysville.
