The yard of Steve and Regina Triplett on Hale
Road was just granted a Beauty Spot Award by the Maysville Community
Club. The Tripletts have done all the work themselves and say they had
hibiscus blooms the size of dinner plates over the summer.
Date set for Autumn Pageant
The Maysville Elementary PTO has announced the date of the Maysville
Autumn Leaf Pageant as Saturday, Sept. 22. It will be held in the
Jackson County Comprehensive High School Auditorium at 7 PM. The
contestant entry fee is $40.00. Applications can be picked up at
Maysville Elementary weekdays between 8 AM and 3 PM.
Festival Organizers Seek Vendors
The Maysville Community Improvement Club announces openings for booth
spaces for arts and crafts vendors for the Autumn Leaf Festival to be
held Friday, Oct. 5 through Sunday, Oct. 7, 2001. Food booth spaces are
almost filled but applications will still be accepted until Sept. 1.
All others should be received by Oct. 1.

The City of Maysville has started cleaning up
their property at the old fire station lot on North Main.

The City of Maysville is doing repair work to
the old well and gazebo in Veterans Park.
City Council Meeting Rescheduled
Because of the Labor Day holiday, the Maysville City Council has
rescheduled their regular monthly meeting for Monday, Sept. 10, at 7:30
PM.
It will be held in the Maysville Public Library Conference Room and is
open to the public. To speak at the meeting you must be on the agenda
no later than Friday, Aug. 31, by completing a form at City Hall.

-Officers responded to a damage report on the railroad tracks at the
intersection of GA 98 and GA 52.
-A vehicle was damaged on Georgia Avenue at Main St.
-Responded to a domestic dispute and made a warrant arrest at a Homer
Road address. |
